This kit is small and compact but with all the essential items to treat Major Bleeding & Gunshot Wound Trauma.

Contents:

  • 1 - NAR Gen 7 CAT Tourniquet
  • 1 - Trauma Shears
  • 1 - Pair Nitrile Gloves
  • 1 - NAR Compressed Gauze(4.5”x4.1yd)
  • 1 - Mini Responder ETD(4”Flat)
  • 1 - HyFin Compact Chest Seal (Twin Pack)

NAR Gen 7 CAT Tourniquet

  • The patented C-A-T® is a true one-handed tourniquet proven to be 100% effective by the U.S. Army’s Institute of Surgical Research. Tests proved that the CAT completely occluded blood flow of an extremity in the event of a traumatic wound with significant hemorrhage

NAR Compressed Gauze(4.5”x4.1yd)

  • This gauze is ultra-compact, sterile, high quality 100% cotton that utilizes a unique crinkle weave that has excellent fluid absorption indicated for the treatment of bleeding and the dressing and bandaging of wounds.

The NAR Mini Responder 4in. (ETD)

  • This Mini Emergency Trauma Dressing is our most compact compression bandage designed to provide an effective pressure bandage when reduced packaging size is required. It is flat folded and less than an inch thick. The Mini Responder ETD has a 4 x 6 inch non-adherent pad with a 42 in. elastic bandage. It has both hook & loop as well as a sturdy C-Clip closure to hold the dressing in place.

HyFin Compact Chest Seal (Twin Pack)

  • This Compact Chest Seal Twin Pack provides users with two vented chest seals in a compact packaging designed for the prevention, management and treatment of an open and/or tension pneumothorax potentially caused by a penetrating chest trauma. The cutting-edge design of these chest seals incorporate 3-vented channels designed to allow air to escape the chest cavity during exhalation but prevent airflow from entering through the injury site during inhalation.

Trauma Shears

  • When clothing is obstructing a wound it needs to be cut away so the wound can be properly treated. Trauma Shears are a safe and effective way to remove clothing as well as cut med tape and dressings if needed.

 Pair Nitrile Gloves

  • These non latex gloves provide protection for the from cross contamination from the aid provider to the victim or from the victim to the aid provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes this kit different from other trauma kits? A: The R-FAK is designed specifically for range use—compact enough to fit in a range bag but complete enough to treat gunshot trauma. It includes a tourniquet, chest seals, gauze, and pressure dressing. It's lighter and smaller than the C-FAK or LE-FAK but covers the same core injuries.
Q: Does this include hemostatic gauze like QuikClot? A: No. The R-FAK includes standard NAR compressed gauze. For hemostatic (clotting) gauze, see our LE-FAK or C-FAK, or add QuikClot Combat Gauze separately.
Q: Why are there two chest seals? A: Gunshot wounds often have both an entry and exit wound. The HyFin Twin Pack provides two vented chest seals so you can treat both wounds.
Q: Do I need training to use this kit? A: Basic first aid knowledge is recommended. We recommend a Stop The Bleed course for hands-on practice with tourniquets and wound packing. However, all components are straightforward to use in an emergency.
Q: How long do the supplies last before expiring? A: Most components have a 3-5 year shelf life when stored properly. Check individual items for expiration dates and replace as needed.
