This is the real deal—the exact same 3/8" thick closed-cell polyurethane foam sleeping pad used by the U.S. military, manufactured by an official government contractor. Unlike air mattresses that can puncture or self-inflating pads that can fail, closed-cell foam is virtually indestructible—there's nothing to leak, pop, or malfunction, and it never needs inflating.

The closed-cell construction makes it inherently water resistant while providing thermal insulation that blocks cold ground conduction and retains body heat. At 24" x 72", the pad accommodates most adults and fits standard military cots, bivy sacks, and tent floors. When you're done, the attached tie straps let you roll it up tight for compact transport. Bonus: the insulating properties also work to keep frozen or chilled items fresh—roll food inside for improvised cooler insulation.
