Frequently Asked Questions

What does OTG mean and will these fit my glasses?
OTG stands for Over-The-Glasses. These goggles are specifically designed with a 7/8" cutout on each side to accommodate the temples of most standard prescription glasses and sunglasses frames. If your frames are particularly wide or have thick arms, test the fit — most standard Rx frames will sit comfortably underneath.

What is MIL-DTL-43511D and why does it matter?
MIL-DTL-43511D is the U.S. military's ballistic eyewear specification for fragmentation and impact resistance. Goggles certified to this standard have been tested against high-velocity projectile impact. Combined with ANSI Z87.1, these goggles meet both military and civilian safety standards — the same standard required for ballistic eyewear in combat zones.

What is the difference between the Clear and Smoke lens?
The Clear lens is best for indoor use, low-light conditions, night operations, and overcast environments — it maintains maximum visible light transmission. The Smoke lens reduces glare and brightness, making it ideal for bright outdoor environments, range use in daylight, and direct sun exposure. Both lenses provide the same ballistic and UV protection.

Do these fit under a helmet?
Yes. The adjustable rubber-grip strap is designed to work with or without a helmet. The low-profile frame and flexible hinges allow the goggles to seat properly under standard PASGT, ACH, ECH, and MICH helmet systems. Strap tension adjusts to keep them secure during mounted and dismounted operations.

Are these anti-fog?
Yes. Both lens options feature an anti-fog coating, and the top and bottom vents actively circulate air to reduce condensation buildup during high-exertion activity. For extreme humidity or temperature differentials, anti-fog spray can be applied to the lens coating without damage.
