Q: What's the difference between SGE 400/3 and SGE 400/3BB?A: The SGE 400/3 has a silicone face seal. The SGE 400/3BB has a butyl rubber face seal, which provides superior resistance to chemical warfare agents (nerve agents, mustard gas) and meets stricter CBRN requirements. The 400/3BB is also slightly lighter. If you need maximum chemical protection, consider the 400/3BB version in our NBC Protective Kit.
Q: Does this include a filter?A: Yes. One sealed NBC filter is included. We recommend stocking spare filters for extended use or multiple threats.
Q: What does the filter protect against?A: The included NBC filter protects against chemical warfare agents (sarin, mustard gas, VX), biological threats (bacteria, viruses, spores), radioactive particulates, industrial chemicals, tear gas (CS/CN), and toxic vapors.
